Cream of the Crop

If white is for weddings, is cream the colour for christenings? Well it certainly looked like that was the case at St James Palace on Wednesday, as Kate, Pippa and Camilla all coordinated their cream outfits with little Prince George's christening gown.

George's christening gown is in fact an exact replica of the silk and lace outfit commissioned by Queen Victoria during her first pregnancy in 1840. Worn by each of her nine children in turn, as well as by successive generations of royal babies, the once white silk gown has turned cream with age and is now deemed to fragile to be worn.

As for the Duchess of Cambridge, she once again turned to McQueen for her frill-fronted cream suit, whilst her sister chose a perfectly coordinated cream trapeze coat by Suzannah Crabb (£750).

Pippa Packs a Style Punch

Look who's been spotted packing a style punch at the Boodles Boxing Ball! Snapped arriving at The Grosvenor House Hotel for the society bash, Pippa Middleton looked an absolute knock-out in her Catherine Deane knife pleat dress - and the midi length version is still available at FarFetch.com for £800 if you move fast.

Pippa's Secret To A Beautiful Bottom

The secret is out! Putting paid to those rumours that Pippa Middleton owes her particularly pert bottom entirely to pilates it has been revealed that she actually wore knickers from British lingerie brand Beautiful Bottoms under that famously figure-hugging Sarah Burton bridesmaid dress.

With no hint of VPL evident beneath the clingy bias-cut dress it had been joked that Pippa had earned herself the cheeky nickname 'Commando' from none other than Prince Harry, but it seems we were all wrong on that score!

Pippa's pert bottom has been the focus of much attention ever since the royal wedding - and it hasn't escaped her notice, with the younger Middleton sister commenting in her party planning book 'Celebrate': 'It is a bit startling to achieve global recognition before the age of 30 on account of your sister, your brother-in-law and your bottom.' The odds are Pippa's bottom will now help Beautiful Bottoms gain global recognition too!

Dress Deja-Vu: Pippa's Peplum

All eyes were on Alnwick at the weekend for the society wedding of the year no less. The Duke of Northumberland's daughter, Lady Melissa Percy tied the knot to Thomas van Straubenzee wearing a beautiful bejewelled white gown with short sleeves - not to mention that unmissable coronet!

With the Duchess of Cambridge resting-up ahead of the royal birth it was down to little sis Pippa to lead the parade of well-dressed wedding guests - but have we seen Pippa's printed peplum dress somewhere before?

If Pippa Middleton's monochrome print dress gave you a case of dress deja-vu it could be because Kelly Brooke has been spotted sporting the very same one.
Designed by Dannii Minogue's former Project D collaborator Tabitha Somerset Webb, the two brunettes prove that the style works equally well as a day dress as it does as a wedding guest look.

Whilst Kelly simply slipped on a pair of peep-toe Louboutins, Pippa completed her outfit with an Olivia Roat Milinary fascinator and Gucci heels.

When it comes to packing most of us fall into one of two distinct camps. There are those (like my mum) who pack for every possible eventuality and then those who could practically hop onto a plane taking nothing more than the clothes they're standing in. As you can imagine, it came as quite a surprise when I had somehow managed to pack the lightest suitcase out of four girls last time I went away on holiday (well on the flight out at least - you've got to save room for all that souvenir shopping after all). My top tips? 1. Borrow your best friend's GHDs and 2. Nothing is as versatile as a humble scarf. My oriental print stalwart scarf came in as a sarong, shawl and head scarf all during the course of a 10 day trip.

Kate & Pippa Buy One in Every Colour

Everyone needs a bit of variety in their wardrobe to make life interesting, but there's a lot to be said for sticking with what you know.

Kate Winslet pretty much caused a media frenzy as she worked the red carpet at the Venice Film Festival wearing a white curve-enhancing Stella McCartney number. A couple of months down the line and she's chosen the same dress for the premiere of Carnage, but this time in vampish red.
















Pippa Middleton is another girl who knows what she likes and runs with it. She's been spotted around central London wearing different versions of the same lace dress from H&M. Coming in at £25 a pop it would have been rude not to buy both!

Kate and Pippa did't make a fashion faux pas here - far from it! The different colour ways actually create very different looks, and there's no denying they both look sensational. Here's to buying one in every colour I say!

Ladies in Waiting for Debenhams Dress

Admired by both men and women the world over, it's little wonder that Pippa Middleton's maid-of-honour dress has become the most sort after style for brides and bridesmaids-to-be.





















Alain Mehada, Chief Personal Shopper at Debenhams Oxford Street, revealed that they have experienced a deluge of customers wanting to emulate Pippa's 'classic' look:

'We have been inundated by customers asking if we have anything similar to the dresses worn by Kate, Pippa and the flower girls, but the ivory dress worn by Pippa is the most requested by far.'

Debenhams have responded to such unprecedented demand with a limited edition dress inspired by Pippa's, which is to go on sale later in the year.

Where the Sarah Burton ivory gown with cowl neck, cap sleeves and button-back detail is rumoured to have cost in the region of £20,000, the Debenhams homage will sell for just £170! That's what I call a rear-ly good deal (sorry, couldn't resist that one). No doubt it will be a huge hit when it arrives in store.

Just a week after big sis Kate was spotted wearing Goldsign jeans in Canada, Pippa has been spotted wearing the same designer denim brand for a coffee run in central London. Whilst Kate wore Passion in Habit, Pippa opted for Misfit in Ray - a particularly figure hugging cut to flatter the most famous bottom in the world! Although the sisters may share a love of Goldsign, Pippa chose to leave her stetson at home - accessorizing with some serious arm candy instead.
