The question on everyone's lips at Milan Fashion Week has to be is there a hamburger in that handbag? Yes, Jeremy Scott really has served up a McDonald's themed collected for Moschino. Who'd have thought that a Happy Meal box could make such a style statement? That said, it doesn't come as too great a shock when we've already seen brand power at work at Anya Hindmarch during LFW. Her covetable handbags featured all your favourite breakfast cereals, from Frosties and Corn Flakes to Coco Pops. Quirky and collectable - no question, but I can't be the only one left feeling a bit peckish looking at all this food packaging...
Do you want fries with that love?
Whoever said money can't buy happiness simply didn't know where to go shopping

When Did Star Wars Get Stylish?
Did I miss something? When did Star Wars move from every geeky teenage boy's fantasy to high fashion favourite? I was surprised to see C-3PO crop up on the Rodarte catwalk during New York Fashion Week, but the trend for Star Wars chic, as I've dubbed it, looks set to continue in London. Preen have taken inspiration from the chiseled features of Darth Vader. Now, I know in some circles the shiny black helmet is seen as somewhat of a design classic, but I was not expecting it to make an appearance at LFW. At least there was no sign of Princess Leia's gold bikini - but with Milan and Paris Fashion Weeks still to come, who knows? We might yet see some Chewbacca-esque faux fur creations for A/W '14...

London Fashion Week

London Fashion Week kicks-off today in fine style. Over the next few days we get a sneak peek into the future, as the S/S '11 collections are showcased in the appropriately glamorous setting of Somerset House. Even though I don't get to be there in person, I'll be sure to bring you all the latest news hot off the catwalk. Don't forget that you can check out the shows for yourself via the LFW website, where you can access live streams of proceedings:
