Make Mine a Mojito!

As much a feat of engineering as they are a work of art, it was my sister, Rachel who first brought Julian Hakes' Mojito shoes to my attention. I'd never seen anything like the spiral design, sculptured from a single piece of laminated carbon fibre.

A London based architect, Hakes spent over a year developing the Mojito to ensure the shoes are as comfortable as they are elegant - despite only providing support for the heel and ball of the foot.

And if you're wondering about he name... the original prototype resembled the twist of lime topping off a Mojito cocktail.

You can definitely make mine a Mojito!
