Step Up in Stella McCartney

So my New Year's fitness regime nearly ground to an abrupt halt before it really even started. The gym couldn't get a Zumba instructor in time for this week's class - but I could always try circuit training. Not wanting to miss out on my weekly class, or a gossip with the girls, I thought why not - it can't be that bad, can it? I was worn out after the warm up!

Don't get me wrong it was fun to try something different, but those endless rounds of squats, stomach crunches and weights have left me with very achy muscles! I'll be glad to get back to Zumba next week - especially as I've found the perfect pair of dance trainers courtesy of Stella McCartney.

Hello Possums!

There's nothing like a dame and Stella McCartney knows it! Why else would the designer be so eager to secure the services of our all time favourite antipodean to turn on the Christmas lights at her Bruton Street store?

Speaking to Vogue ahead of the switch on Stella said: 'The brief is to have fun. I have been dying to get Dame Edna for so long, I'm chuffed.' And she was lucky to get her - Dame Edna Everage is quite in demand at the moment, but managed to squeeze in another glamorous public appearance in between farewell shows and rubbing shoulders with royalty.

If she/he hadn't been able to make it at least we know Stella would have made a great stand-in.
Look closer - yes, this is none other than Stella McCartney paying homage to Dame Edna complete with purple wig and butterfly-rim specs! Come on, we've all done it, haven't we? Well I'm happy to admit I used to attempt to entertain my family with bad Dame Edna impressions. No point denying it when there's video evidence!

Spot the Difference: Zara v Stella

Where a Stella McCartney Fallabella bag will set you back around £600, Zara have a strikingly similar chain-edged bag for just £22.99. The long strap even detaches so you can use it as a crossbody bag or transform it into a clutch.

Stella McCartney OBE

Stella shows us how it's done! Whilst some (who shall remain nameless) go all out with huge feathered fascinators and frumpy frocks when summoned to meet the Queen, Stella McCartney, as a walking advert for her fashion house, displayed poise and elegance in a structured navy suit worn with a small, veiled pillbox hat.

Of course Stella McCartney was at Buckingham Palace to receive her OBE - well deserved after a year in which she designed Team GB's London 2012 kit and was named as the British Fashion Council's Designer of the Year.

Nicola Roberts at LFW

London Fashion Week is in full swing and my favourite look from the FROW so far has to be this combo from none other than Nicola Roberts...

The Girls Aloud singer turned fashionista rocked up at the House of Holland show wearing a pink Stella McCartney jacquard blazer - which could have come across a bit Lady Penelope had she not toughened it up a bit with ripped Current/Elliott star jeans and toe-capped Alexander McQueen heels.

I love it!

Kate & Pippa Buy One in Every Colour

Everyone needs a bit of variety in their wardrobe to make life interesting, but there's a lot to be said for sticking with what you know.

Kate Winslet pretty much caused a media frenzy as she worked the red carpet at the Venice Film Festival wearing a white curve-enhancing Stella McCartney number. A couple of months down the line and she's chosen the same dress for the premiere of Carnage, but this time in vampish red.

Pippa Middleton is another girl who knows what she likes and runs with it. She's been spotted around central London wearing different versions of the same lace dress from H&M. Coming in at £25 a pop it would have been rude not to buy both!

Kate and Pippa did't make a fashion faux pas here - far from it! The different colour ways actually create very different looks, and there's no denying they both look sensational. Here's to buying one in every colour I say!

Paul & Nancy Tie the Knot

Who says you can't wear white second time round? Nancy Shevell looked every inch the elegant bride in her short white dress with intricate button detailing as she emerged from Marylebone registry office as the new Lady McCartney. And as for the designer? Stella McCartney of course!
