Statement Necklaces

Ok, so I missed a trick not buying Zara's eagle necklace when I had the chance (they're now being sold on ebay for three times the price), but there are plenty more fish in the sea when it comes to statement styles this season!


Every fashionista's best friend, a statement necklace is by far the easiest way to style-up a simple outfit. Very Gossip Girl, I've lost count of the times I've used a chunky, ethnic style necklace to transform a boring jeans and t-shirt combo.

If you're thinking of buying an investment piece, Mawi is a must - but there are great options on the high street too. Look out for neon paste set styles ready for summer - and the bigger the better, I say - but one is enough. I pity the fool who'd layer this lot up for a Mr T look - just think how heavy they'd be!

Personally, I've gone for this big ol' hunk of H&M (£17.99). I couldn't possibly let a £5 off voucher they had given me go to waste, now could I?!

Gossip Girl Returns!

At long last Gossip Girl returns to our screens tonight, and I for one can hardly wait for the latest installment from the scandalous lives of Manhatten's elite. There's a positive pregnancy test to be claimed, a royal wedding to be planned and a cameo appearance from Liz Hurley - not to mention all the fabulous frocks!






















As much as I love Blair and Serena, lovable rogue Chuck Bass has to be my favourite character. With his urban dandy image honed to perfection, he's the best dressed man the Upper East Side has to offer!

I Got Mail

I love those days when the postman brings something other than bills to my front door. Getting a parcel can make even the most mudane Monday feel like Christmas. This morning, not only did my Blair bag arrive, but I received the Urban Outfitters winter catalogue with a 10% off voucher inside. The postman's next visit is sure to bring a pretty hefty credit card bill!

Gossip Girl @ Miss Selfridge

The second collection of Gossip Girl inspired dresses (and a jumpsuit) has arrived at Miss Selfridge. Sadly, there are only four pieces to choose from - although this is probably somewhat of a blessing for the old bank balance! This time around they haven't assigned the styles as being uniquely Blair, Serena, Jenny or Vanessa, but have gone for more of a general GG vibe. I think they have missed a trick there, as everyone has there fav character look. It's also a shame that the collection is a bit heavy on the black, but there is some great embellishment - perfect for the party season. Prices range from £50-£60.

Gossip Girl Returns in Style

Season 4 of Gossip Girl has finally hit our screens after an absence of what seems an age. The Summer was all too long without seeing those Park Avenue princesses scheming away and looking fabulous. Now we're two episodes in to the new series and it's better than ever! I won't give away any storylines, but here are a few fashion spoilers...

The countdown is on ... the hotly anticipated 4th season of Gossip Girl premieres on Monday 13th September over in the States - so it shouldn't be too long until ITV2 catch-up (although there's always You Tube if you just can't wait a second longer). Will Chuck survive? Is Georgina really having Dan's baby? Will Dan and Serena ever get back together? So many questions ... but one thing is for sure - there will be a myriad of fabulous outfits to lust after, and a whole lot of scandal to boot!
