EVERY Best Actress Oscar Dress...

Are you getting excited about the Oscars on Sunday? If. like me, you care more about the red carpet action than the actual awards, here's each and every dress worn by a Best Actress Oscar winner courtesy of Media Run. Which dress is your favourite? Personally, I don't think you can beat the styles from the '50s - as worn by Grace Kelly, Audrey Hepburn and Olivia de Havilland.

Peter Pilotto for Target Buys

So much for me saying Net-A-Porter had pretty much sold out of the Peter Pilotto for Target collection! Out of nowhere certain items have been restocked - and for a limited time delivery is FREE. I've managed to get my hands on the digital print sweater (£30) and mini dress (£40). Needless to say I was one happy bunny when the beautifully gift-wrapped Net-A-Porter box arrived at my front door.

Fast Food Fashion

The question on everyone's lips at Milan Fashion Week has to be is there a hamburger in that handbag? Yes, Jeremy Scott really has served up a McDonald's themed collected for Moschino. Who'd have thought that a Happy Meal box could make such a style statement? That said, it doesn't come as too great a shock when we've already seen brand power at work at Anya Hindmarch during LFW. Her covetable handbags featured all your favourite breakfast cereals, from Frosties and Corn Flakes to Coco Pops. Quirky and collectable - no question, but I can't be the only one left feeling a bit peckish looking at all this food packaging...

Do you want fries with that love?

When Did Star Wars Get Stylish?

Did I miss something? When did Star Wars move from every geeky teenage boy's fantasy to high fashion favourite? I was surprised to see C-3PO crop up on the Rodarte catwalk during New York Fashion Week, but the trend for Star Wars chic, as I've dubbed it, looks set to continue in London. Preen have taken inspiration from the chiseled features of Darth Vader. Now, I know in some circles the shiny black helmet is seen as somewhat of a design classic, but I was not expecting it to make an appearance at LFW. At least there was no sign of Princess Leia's gold bikini - but with Milan and Paris Fashion Weeks still to come, who knows? We might yet see some Chewbacca-esque faux fur creations for A/W '14...

Suits You Brangelina!

Who says you have to wear a statement dress to stand out on the red carpet? Definitely not Angelina Jolie, who evidently got a bit jealous of Brad's black tux and decided to go all matchy-matchy at the BAFTAs.

With a loose bow-tie and her top buttons left undone Angelina successfully keeps the look more Carrie Bradshaw and less Diane Keaton. Don't you just love these two?

I don't remember seeing his 'n' hers co-ordination on a scale like this since Posh and Becks bought those matching biker jackets - but I have to say Brangelina's tux look wins out in the style stakes. For all the couples who have tried it, not many manage to pull it off like this. Who could forget the faux pas that was Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears in co-ordinating patchwork denim - but if nothing else, a uniform at least screams hands off, he's mine!

Happy Valentine's Day

I never usually feel that inspired to write about men's fashion, but maybe that's because you just can't beat a man in a plain old white shirt. It's been a sexy look for centuries - and don't the BBC costume department know it! I'm very pleased to see they've recreated Mr. Darcy wet shirt look for a whole new generation of swooning ladies with Tom Burke in The Musketeers.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Yes, I really have got far too much time on my hands.

Team Kylie

Don't get me wrong, I loved The Voice with Jessie J and Danny O'Donoghue as coaches, but I think the show's even better with Kylie Minogue and Ricky Wilson taking up seats alongside Will.i.am and Tom Jones. I'd hazard a guess that many a man would be very pleased to see Ms. Minogue spinning around for them in her red chair - she's sure one sexy popstrel in that black, Bridget Bardot style dress of hers.

If you were wondering it's a slinky little Gucci number and you can find it at Net-A-Porter for £785. Go Team Kylie!

Peter Pilotto for Target

If you were thinking of trying to get your hands on a Peter Pilotto for Target dress, think again! They've pretty much sold out over on Net-A-Porter - and it's no surprise when most items were being sold for under £50. Remember, Peter Pilotto dresses in a signature digital print like this are usually closer to the £1000 mark!

Over the Atlantic there may not have been the mania that had been seen with Target's previous designer collaborations (such as Mulberry for Target), but Net-A-Porter, who were selling the items online, broke sales records with one item being sold per second when the line including dresses, skirts, shoes and swimwear launched yesterday. What I want to know is when Target will follow their compatriots J. Crew and Banana Republic over to the UK? Come on guys, we're waiting!

Time to Think Pink

When I popped into Miss Selfridge after meeting a friend for lunch this afternoon I only meant to have a quick browse - until this pretty pink watch caught my eye.

With a sale label reading reduced from £16.50 - £5 I immediately thought 'I'll have that' - little did I know that it had been marked down yet again. When I got it to the till my new watch set me back the grand total of - wait for it...

 £2.50!

Don't you just love it when that happens? I'm ticked pink with this purchase - although, I've now got no excuse to turn up fashionably late ever again.

Keep Calm & Carry On Kate

Can it really be true that Kate has been told to watch her hemlines? Apparently courtiers have had a quiet word with the Duchess of Cambridge ahead of her planned visit to Australia in April, suggesting that she perhaps shouldn't wear quite so many skirts cut above the knee and might want to acquire a more couture based wardrobe befitting a royal. Come on - she's hardly Caroline of Brunswick shocking polite society parading around in obscenely low-cut, see-through gowns.

Ok, so she's had a few Marilyn moments, revealing more leg than she may have intended, but nothing a weighted hemline can't fix! She's a young woman who's become a role model for other young women. She should not be encouraged to dress like a frump, or avoid the high street stores that have done so well from the Copy Kate effect in a recession.

Of all the nations who could be offended by the sight of a couple of inches of royal thigh, dare I say it's not the Australians. If anything I'd have thought a more laid-back attitude to royal dress would go down well down under.

Keep calm and carry on wearing the short skirts Kate!

Alexa's Topshop Dress

Does Alexa Chung ever have an off day? I think not! Her latest look gave me the serious urge to start cutting up an old gingham table cloth in an attempt to recreate that smock dress - that was until I found out that it's only £38 from Topshop! Yes, really - just take a look if you don't believe me. See you in the queue - or you can always dig out your old summer school dress if you think it'll still fit - gingham is back girls!
