Mere days after the launch of Mary Katrantzou's collection, Topshop have yet another treat in store for us. Tomorrow David Koma's collection for the High Street giant hits the rails - just in time for London Fashion Week! Fashionistas be warned - this collection is limited, so it won't be around for long.
Koma's distinct style has attracted a lot of attention since Cheryl Cole wore one of his creations during the X-Factor finals back in '09. The use of tubular steel, inspired by the metalwork sculptures of William Pye, continues to form a strong part of his work, as seen in this collaboration with Topshop. The man himself said:
'Topshop signifies youth and modernity and its spirit evokes "cool London". It was really exciting to work with the Topshop team as I felt they understood me as a designer and appreciated my need to make high quality product without compromising the design aesthetic, quality of fabric or finishing. They helped make my vision a reality and I'm thrilled with the result.'
Prices range from £100-£350, which may be a little pricey for the High Street, but reflects the quality and workmanship involved.
