David Koma for Topshop

Mere days after the launch of Mary Katrantzou's collection, Topshop have yet another treat in store for us. Tomorrow David Koma's collection for the High Street giant hits the rails - just in time for London Fashion Week! Fashionistas be warned - this collection is limited, so it won't be around for long.

Koma's distinct style has attracted a lot of attention since Cheryl Cole wore one of his creations during the X-Factor finals back in '09. The use of tubular steel, inspired by the metalwork sculptures of William Pye, continues to form a strong part of his work, as seen in this collaboration with Topshop. The man himself said:

'Topshop signifies youth and modernity and its spirit evokes "cool London". It was really exciting to work with the Topshop team as I felt they understood me as a designer and appreciated my need to make high quality product without compromising the design aesthetic, quality of fabric or finishing. They helped make my vision a reality and I'm thrilled with the result.'

Prices range from £100-£350, which may be a little pricey for the High Street, but reflects the quality and workmanship involved.

The Brits

I fully intended to write about all the amazing outfits on display at last night's Brit Awards ceremony, but for me there was simply no wow factor amongst the X-Factor crowd. The most stylish aspect had to be the new look statuette - designed by none other than the doyenne of British fashion - Dame Viv.

The Biker/Trench Hybrid is Born

Can't choose between a black leather biker jacket or a classic beige trench as your spring cover-up? Well, now you don't have to!

Christopher Bailey's S/S '11 collection of biker chic has seen the reinvention of Burberry's trademark gabardine trench for the generation who want it all and can't quite decide if they're a rock rebel or a preppy princess. What's more, Burberry now offer a bespoke service so that your trench is perfectly tailored to your needs, and who other than Emma Watson was first in line to get her hands on one of these beautifully crafted coats.

If your pockets aren't deep enough to stretch to a Burberry bespoke you'll be relieved to know that Topshop have a version of Emma's leather sleeved trench for £135.

Buy of the Week

Just as you thought the sales were over, Topshop are spoiling us with even more delectable delights at less than half price! I just couldn't resist this two tone double breasted princess coat (was £95 now £40). I know I should be thinking ahead to my spring wardrobe, but this coat is a classic, and to be fair it's going to be cold for a good while yet.

SAGs

The Screen Actors Guild is saddled with what has to be the most unfortunate acronym in Hollywood - though this shouldn't detract from the glamour of the SAGs. The awards which have become known as a dress rehearsal for the Oscars saw the stars go all out to dress to impress, all be it some more successfully than others...

Mad Men stars January Jones in Carolina Herrera and Christina Hendricks in L'Wren Scott.

Claire Danes not only won an award for her role in Temple Grandin but wins in the style stakes with this floral Louis Vuitton number!

Glee's Lea Michele knows she can always rely on Oscar de la Renta for a show-stopping gown, but one can't help but think that Winona Ryder would look more comfortable walking down the aisle than down the red carpet in this Alberta Ferretti wedding dress!
